Navel / Belly Button Piercing
Navel piercings were regularly done by ancient Egyptian royalty.
They are the most popular piercing being done today.
Navel piercings are slow to heal.
A redness, which is not a sign of infection, can persist for months.
Only pronounced "Innies" should be pierced.
"Outies" are not suitable for piercing.
The placement is located 3/8" above the upper edge of the navel.
The ring should hang vertically and seem to disappear into the navel opening.
Unless placed through sufficient tissue, this piercing is slightly more prone to rejection than other piercings.
